Smiths store

A short muscular man walked in. He was carrying a helmet in one hand, and a bag with venison in it in the other. He walked up to the counter, glancing at the different objects on the shelves. As he got to the counter, he asked the clerk, "How much will you pay me for 3 pounds of venison?" He set the vens=ison on the counter, for the clerk to weigh.

Jacob looked up at attention and straightens his shirt when he heard a costumer come in. he raised an eye of interest at the man in armor, wondering what may be of his interest in his little store.

"Ah well lets see" he said with a friendly smile as he moved the Venisons to the scale. "It is selling for 50 silvers a pound at the moment, on the market prices anyway" he said as he confirmed it was in fact around 3 pounds.

He eyed his costumer, "What say you Ranger? fair coin for your game?" he asked. Of course private buyers may pay more for it... but the trick would be getting them convinced it was worth their coin. Hardly worth the effort in his humble opinion.

Kiram looked at the man, and said, "Yes, I think that's fair. Thank you. And do you happen to have any beef, and vegetables? I was hoping to surprise my sister's family by making them some stew. You can just deduct that from what you've given me for the venison." Kiram looked around, not seeing any vegetables, or beef. He not only wanted to do this for his family, but also because he was tired of the deer meat, and wanted something different.

Jacob nodded, "Yes we have a modest supply of veggies in the ice shed, can come and have a look if you want." he said opening the door to the downstairs Ice shed. 'Though for the meet you might consider going to the butcher" he suggested, their store was not suited to house raw meat.

He called his Son Nathan to watch the store while went down with his costumer to get the food.

In the seller were containers of carrots, cabbage, corn, green beans, Squash, and tomato. Not much perhaps a couple pounds of each, but it was more then enough to put in a stew.

"The carrots are 10 silvers per pound, same for the corn Squash and Tomato's, Cabbages are 15 silvers a pound and the Beans are 5 slivers far Half a pound" he said listing off his prices.

"I'll take 1/3 of a pound of carrots, and the same for corn, and 1/2 a pound of tomatoes." Kirlan said, as he examined the veggies. He didn't think that cabbage and green beans would be good in the stew. And he absolutely hated squash. He looked around, hoping to see more vegetbales, but to his disappointment, there were none. "So that is about 4 silvers for the carrots, and the same for the corn. And for the Tomatoes it is 5 silvers. Is that right? I just want to make sure, and I think you are an honest man, so I will trust you with the math." Kirlan said, jokingly.
